ease of understanding, I think of nanoenhanced products as the use of smaller
and smaller component parts in making all types of physical products.
Because the actual size of the parts determines the differing results of how the
finished product performs, we end up with products which are stronger, or which
weigh less, or are more stain resistant.

have moved out of the labs and into the the commercial markets. We have
today suntan lotions, cosmetics, protective coatings, stain resistant clothing,
etc - all are much improved on the earlier versions of the products prior to the

Nanotechnology has begun to infiltrate several industries. The new methods of
working with the very, very small is creating a broad range of emerging
businesses and markets - from more powerful computers to more efficient and
effective drug delivery systems in the medical field.
This trend is expected to continue over the next several years, as technologies
